How to use Tallawood
Micro Face Cloth?
Tallawood Micro Face Cloth is great with our Natural
handmade from scratch soap! Use once a week with homemade natural vegetable soap
and once a month with just water. Never use harsh, chemical laden commercial
soap, as it would only defeat the idea of natural skin care. We
wanted to give our clients the best possible way to maintain and nourish their
skin. Never scrub your face just
use a circular motion around the face with soap once a week to get the weekly
build up of skin cells. Use with just water once a month the same way (in a
circular motion once or twice around the face) to get a little mini peel.
Should I use the Cloth
every day?
No, it has been my experience that over exfoliating the
skin can cause irritation. Instead use one of our great essential oil soaps that
best suit your skin type for everyday washing. You can use our great soaps as
often as you feel that you need them. Whenever you use our soap you will get the
benefit of a great cleaning and moisturizing. Tallawood soap will never dry your
skin!
Are there other uses?
Yes! You may also use your cloth with just
water on legs, arms and body every 7 to 10 days to give your skin a little mini
peel. Never be aggressive with your skin – just a gentle rub with no soap
(just water) or with Tallawood Soap to help sloth off old skin.
Can I use other
chemical treatments along with the Tallawood Micro Face Cloth?
It would be my recommendation that you discontinue the use
of any chemical or acne treatments while you are treating your skin problems
with the Tallawood Micro Face Cloth. The combination would possibly result in
too much irritation to your skin (We don't want you to irritate your skin. If
you do use chemicals you should limit it to, at least, 24 hours before or after
water only treatment.
May I use my
moisturizer following a water only treatment?
Keeping your skin moisturized is a crucial part of skin
care and is essential to healthy glowing skin but, immediately following a
treatment, it is best to avoid any heavy moisturizers with mineral oil base.
Natural oil creams and lotions are best period! Also, after the treatment, DO
NOT apply alcohol based astringents. The tight feeling of your skin is a sign
the treatment was effective. If you like to use a toner use an herbal tea like
chamomile. Check out our cosmetic recipe page for more information.
One of the best ways to protect and nourish your skin between treatments
is to use a good, chemical free, Moisturizing Soap. Our product line is designed
to provide you with all the Natural Chemical Free products necessary for healthy
radiant skin so, of course, we carry the best All Natural Moisturizing soaps
available. Please visit the soap section of our store.
What is the best way to
care for my Tallawood Micro Face & Bath Cloth?
Simply rinse out by hand with a little natural soap and
air-dry. You may also machine wash your cloth but never use bleach or fabric
softener with it as it will harm the fibers. Never machine wash with towels or
materials with a nap as it will harm the fibers. Never put in dryer (the cloth
will dry quickly if air dried). Detailed instructions are included with each
Cloth.
Why it is best NOT
to use Commercial Soaps:
Nearly all commercially produced soaps are actually
detergents containing low cost animal fat and well known skin toxins like
synthetic preservatives and foaming boosters: chemicals that can irritate your
skin and aggravate your condition. Our Natural Handmade Soaps
are environmentally friendly, vegan, completely biodegradable and always free of
any synthetic preservatives and foaming boosters. We use only vegetable oils, no
animal fats. Tallawood Farms does not use lanolin or peanut oils because of
common allergies. In addition commercial soaps remove
the Glycerin. Glycerin, a rich emollient prized for its ability to moisturize
the skin, is naturally produced in the soap making process, but because of
glycerin's high value it is extracted and sold for use in more profitable
moisturizing lotions and creams, leaving the hard, drying bars of soap sold
commercially.
Our Soaps do not dry-out your skin the way commercial soaps do because all the
glycerin that is naturally produced by the soap making process stays
in the soap. For more information on Natural
Handmade from scratch soap go to our soap page.
